About Julie
"My favorite time during my sessions is when everyone starts to relax which allows for the candid shots. It is these photos that usually contain the most meaning to the pet parent and will hopefully be cherished for years to come."
Using skills acquired from her graphic design background, Julie naturally progressed into a professional photography career in 2006 when she decided to photograph pets full-time.
"I’ve always been creative, whether playing with a box of paints or snapping photos of my own pets. My goal is always to capture the essence of a subject – whether it be a dog, cat, goat, horse, or a rescue animal."
Julie’s love of animals brought her to be a founding member of HeART Speak, a non-profit organization that connects artists with rescues and shelters with the intention of breaking down the myth that animals from Rescues and Shelters are inferior in some way. Professional photographs greatly improve adopt-ability and ultimately, will increase the number of animals adopted and reduce the numbers that are euthanized.
Julie’s work is about capturing the spirit of your pet and the bond you share with them…because in the end, all we have are memories.
